On May 24–25, 2025, a delegation of youth representatives and government officials from Bangkok participated in the Seoul Friendship Festival 2025, held at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul, Republic of Korea. This international festival brings together performers from sister cities around the world to engage in cultural exchange, while also featuring booths representing different cities to promote intercultural understanding and strengthen relations between global metropolises and the city of Seoul.

On May 24–25, 2025, a delegation of youth representatives and government officials from Bangkok participated in the Seoul Friendship Festival 2025, held at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul, Republic of Korea. This international festival brings together performers from sister cities around the world to engage in cultural exchange, while also featuring booths representing different cities to promote intercultural understanding and strengthen relations between global metropolises and the city of Seoul.
This year, the Bangkok youth delegation captivated the audience with their performance entitled “Songkran: Thai Ways Celebrated Across the World”, a creative Thai cultural presentation. The performance portrayed the essence of the Songkran Festival through traditional folk arts, classical Thai dance, music, and a dramatization of everyday Thai life during the festival. It highlighted the beauty, gentleness, joy, and spirit of reverence that define Songkran, offering international audiences a glimpse into Thailand’s unique cultural identity. The performance garnered significant attention and admiration from Korean citizens and international tourists alike.
The participation of Bangkok’s youth in this festival not only provided a valuable opportunity for them to showcase their talents on the global stage, but also served as a powerful platform to communicate the rich identity of Thai culture to the world. It inspired the younger generation to recognize and embrace their role in international engagement with pride and confidence.
