On Oct. 18, the Thai Princess Sirivannavari Mahidol, as an equestrian coach, led the team to appear in the Equestrian Jumping competition of the 7th CISM Military World Games (7th CWG), participating in the lots drawing and warm-up.

The Thai Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana and the team first appeared in the main venue for Equestrian, and then went to the stables to see the 3 horses selected in the lots drawing. In addition, the Princess led three Thai athletes to visit the field to get familiar with it and guided Thai athletes to train in the field. During the 7th CWG, the Thai Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana presents as a Thai coach. This is the second time for Princess Sirivannavari to China and the first time to Wuhan City. Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana participated in the warm-up and trained the three Thai equestrian athletes. “Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana is very fond of horses and keeps racing horses. She also has professional horseback riding training and has participated in equestrian events in Britain and Europe,” said Thai Ambassador to China PIRIYA KHEMPON. According to introduction, this is the second time that Thailand has sent athletes to participate in the CISM Military World Games, and it is also the first time that Thailand has participated in Equestrian Jumping. This time, Thailand has sent a total of 55 athletes to participate in six sports, including Equestrian, Track & Field, Parachuting, Shooting, Badminton and Amateur Boxing. The Ambassador PIRIYA KHEMPON also said that after arriving in Wuhan, the rivers city gave the Thai mission a very good impression, especially the wonderful light show on both sides of the Yangtze River on the evening of Oct. 17. “I believe that the 7th CWG will further promote friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.”
