Representatives from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Paid a Visit to the Governor of Bangkok.
On 14th March 2025 at 09.00 hrs., Ms. Jess Strong, Director of International Advancement, and Ms. Laura Child, Associate Dean for Advancement of the Grainger College of Engineering, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, USA, paid a visit to the Governor of Bangkok at Amarin Room, 2nd Floor, Bangkok City Hall, Sao Chingcha. The purpose was to introduce the Grainger College of Engineering and to invite participation in the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign alumni network in the Asia region.
Ms. Strong and Ms. Child plan to visit Taiwan, Thailand, and the Republic of Indonesia to introduce the Grainger College of Engineering, formerly the College of Engineering, where the Governor of Bangkok earned his doctoral degree. Also, they proposed initiatives aimed at bringing together alumni from various countries in Asia to join the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign alumni network. The Governor of Bangkok has been invited to join the alumni network and is welcome to visit the university whenever he travels to the United States.
