Finnish Delegation led by Deputy Minister, Under-Secretary of State for External Economic Relations paid a courtesy call on Governor of Bangkok

On October 1, 2019, Pol. Gen. Aswin Kwanmuang, Governor of Bangkok, welcomed the Finnish delegation led by Ms. Nina Vaskunlahti, Deputy Minister, Under-Secretary of State for External Economic Relations, together with Mrs. Satu Sukkari-Kleven, Ambassador of Finland to Thailand and representatives from 5 Finland’s private companies such as Allu, Sepco, Parking Energy, BMH Technology and Uros, at Amornpimarn Room, Bangkok City Hall.

In this regard, Mrs. Silapasuai Rawisaengsun, Permanent Secretary for BMA ,Mr. Kriangyos Sudlabha, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, Mr. Vallop Suwandee, Chairman of Advisers to Governor of Bangkok, Mr. Khachit Chatchawanit, Deputy Permanent Secretary for BMA, Mr. Kriengpol Padhanarath, Secretary to Governor of Bangkok, Ms. Orapin Petchtat, Adviser to Governor of Bangkok, Mr. Kosin Tesawong and Mrs. Acharawadee Chaisuwirat, Assistant Secretary to Governor of Bangkok, Director-General of Strategy and Evaluation Department, Director-General of Traffic and Transport Department, Director-General of Drainage and Sewerage Department, Deputy Director-General of Public Work Department, Deputy Director-General of Environment Department, BMA executives and officials jointly welcomed the delegation.

On this opportunity, Finnish delegation would like to cooperatively strengthen the relationship between Thailand and Finland, including discussing on the possibility of future cooperation establishment with Bangkok. Also, the representatives from Finland’s companies present their briefing company profiles of business operation and outstanding innovations including water management, traffic congestion solution, waste management, waste recycling to fuel, as well as electric vehicle and charging system. After a progressive talk, Bangkok was really interested in their presentations. In the future, it will be possible to explore the collaboration network between the BMA’s organizations and companies from Finland in order to achieve the solutions for Bangkok’s present challenges, including seeking the cooperation in other aspects that will be beneficial for city development in the future.
