
On 2 September 2019 at 11.00 a.m., Mr. Jean-Paul Senninger, Ambassador of Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Thailand, together with Mr. Gabriel Baptista, Economic and Trading Counselor to the Ambassador, and Miss Hathaitip Iamsudha, Secretary to the Ambassador, paid the courtesy call on Pol. Gen. Aswin Kwanmuang, Governor of Bangkok. In this regard, Chairman of Advisors to Governor of Bangkok (Mr. Vallop Suwandee), Permanent Secretary for BMA (Mrs. Silapasuai Rawisaengsun), Deputy Governor of Bangkok (Mr. Kriangyos Sudlabha), Deputy Permanent Secretary for BMA (Mr. Khachit Chatchawanit), Advisers to Governor of Bangkok (Mr. Tamarat Wanglee, Mrs. Chindarat Chayothin, and Miss Orapin Petchtat), Assistant Secretaries to Governor of Bangkok (Mr. Kosin Tesawong and Mrs. Acharawadee Chaisuwirat) and BMA Officials jointly welcomed at Chao Phraya Room, Bangkok City Hall.
Governor of Bangkok welcomed the Ambassador to assume his duties in Thailand and other 7 countries in Southeast Asia in Bangkok and mentioned the 60 years of the good-bilateral relationship between Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and Kingdom of Thailand. The Ambassador mentioned that Luxembourg had given importance to the countries in this region, especially Thailand, which is the country suited to invest in infrastructures. Likewise, Luxembourg and Thailand should cooperate on modernizing the city for the benefits of the citizen's future, and discussed on the BMA management in many fields such as water management, traffic management, urban planning management, and waste management. Moreover, the BMA is pleased to welcome any study visit delegation to Bangkok in the fields of urban planning and waste management. Likewise, the Ambassador also mentioned that Luxembourg is very glad if there would be any Thai experts travel to have a study trip in the fields on urban planning and waste management in Luxembourg, and exchange knowledge to each other.
