Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Thailand paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Bangkok

On 14th September 2021 at 10.30 a.m., H.E. Mr. Rachmat Budiman, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Thailand, and his delegation paid a courtesy call on Pol.Gen. Aswin Kwanmuang, Governor of Bangkok, on the occasion of assuming the position. On this occasion, the executives and officials from Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) also jointly welcomed his Excellency and delegation at Amornphimarn Room, Bangkok City Hall.

Both parties discussed fields of cooperation and exchanges that can promptly be operated after the COVID-19 pandemic situation subsides, especially, the renewal of Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of Sister Cities between the BMA and Jakarta Capital City Administration to foster cooperation between both cities covering a wide range of issues and education cooperation between the Bangkok and Jakarta. The Ambassador expressed his appreciation to the BMA for its potential in the COVID-19 vaccination administration and vaccine allocation to foreigners residing in Thailand. In addition, the BMA and Jakarta are also interested in mutually establishing cooperation on drainage and wastewater treatment. The BMA is pleased to cooperate in activities that strengthen good relations between the two cities and the two countries, including facilitating the Embassy in various fields under the authority of the BMA.
