Ambassador of Mongolia to Thailand paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Bangkok

On 7th December 2021 at 10.00 hrs., H.E. Mr. Tumur Amarsanaa, Ambassador of Mongolia to Thailand, together with Mr. Gantulga Chadraabal, Counsellor, paid a courtesy call on
Pol.Gen. Aswin Kwanmuang, Governor of Bangkok, on the occasion of assuming the position in Thailand. In this regard, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, Chairman of Advisors to Governor of Bangkok, Deputy Permanent Secretaries for the BMA, BMA Inspector General, and Assistant Permanent Secretary for the BMA jointly welcomed at Amornphimarn Room, Bangkok City Hall.


Both parties discussed on cooperation and exchanges that can be operated, especially bilateral cooperation between two capital cities that have established sister city relationship since 2017, to tighten relationship and exchange new ideas to each other. The Ambassador showed interest in Bangkok’s public transportation and hope to have an opportunity to have study visit in the future.


Moreover, on this 16th December, Mongolian Airlines will start a direct flight from Mongolia to Thailand, expecting that this will help developing relationship between two countries and recovering tourism industry that was affected from the spreading of the COVID-19 previously. The Governor of Bangkok was interested in activities that will tighten relationship and exchange between two cities. On this opportunity, the Ambassador complimented Bangkok Metropolitan Administration for well control and prevention of the spreading of COVID-19 and COVID-19 vaccination. The Ambassador, also, presented the Governor of Bangkok with a picture of auspicious horses as a token of appreciation.
