On 15th March 2022 at 14.00 hrs., H.E. Mr. Seng Soukhathivong, the Ambassador of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to Thailand, together with Minister Counselor, and First Secretary, paid the courtesy call on Pol.Gen. Aswin Kwanmuang, the Governor of Bangkok, to bid farewell on the occasion of his tenure ending. On this occasion, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, Chairman of Advisors to Governor of Bangkok, Permanent Secretary for the BMA, Secretary to the Governor of Bangkok, and Assistant Permanent Secretary for the BMA jointly welcomed at Amornphimarn Room, Bangkok City Hall.
The Ambassador expressed his appreciation to the Governor of Bangkok and the BMA executives for their warm welcome. Also, he appreciated the BMA agencies for providing the services of the first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccination to the Lao Embassy and the Lao people residing in Bangkok and its vicinity. Additionally, on behalf of the government and people of Vientiane Capital, the Ambassador also thanked the BMA for the support on fire trucks and assistance provided during the flooding in Vientiane Capital. Nevertheless, the Ambassador felt regretful that he had to return to Laos permanently but glad to have been in his tenure in Thailand even though it was on a short term, and he will bring back the good memories and friendship between the Lao Embassy and the BMA. The Ambassador hopes to see the relationship of both countries, especially Bangkok and Vientiane, being firm like this forever. On this occasion, the Governor of Bangkok felt sorry that the Ambassador would end his tenure in Thailand and wished him a safe trip back.
