On 29th June 2022 at 11.30 hrs., H.E. Mr. Evgeny Tomikhin, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Thailand, together with his delegation, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, the Governor of Bangkok, to congratulate him on the victory of the Bangkok Gubernatorial Election and deliver the congratulatory letter from the Mayor of Moscow at Amornphimarn Room, Bangkok City Hall.
The Ambassador expressed congratulations to the Governor of Bangkok and invited him to participate in the reception to be organized on 4th July 2022 on the occasion of the celebration of the 125th Anniversary of Thai – Russian Diplomatic Relations. In this regard, the Ambassador and the Governor of Bangkok have discussed the various future collaboration exchanges between the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and its sister cities in Russia, namely Moscow and St. Petersburg and those between the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and the Embassy. The said exchanges focus on the cooperation and activities on art and culture, music, sport as well as exhibitions or fairs relating to electronic, digital, and robotic innovation. Moreover, the Governor invited the Russian community and businessmen residing in Bangkok to exchange the ideas and promote tourism and the Russian Embassy and community to participate in BMA’s various activities such as Bangkok Music in the Park, Outdoor Movies Festival in July and so on.
