On 4th July 2022 at 18.30 hrs., Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok participated in the reception on the occasion of the 125th Anniversary of Russia-Thailand Diplomatic Relations organized at Shangri-La Hotel, Bang Rak District, Bangkok. The Governor of Bangkok’s participation in the said event was considered the strengthening of good relations between the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the Embassy of the Russian Federation to Thailand and symbolizing the cordial and long-lasting ties between the Russian Federation and the Kingdom of Thailand, of which the official relations were established in 1897. In addition, it also emphasized on the 25th anniversary of good sister city relationship which was established in 1997 between Bangkok and Moscow and Saint Petersburg. Bangkok and the two Russian cities have implemented cooperation on mutual interest and benefit such as exchange of administrative and working visits, meetings for knowledge exchange, activities on tourism, culture, youth and so on.
