On 12th July 2022 at 18.00 hrs., Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok,
together with administrators of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), including Mr. Torsak Chotimongkol, Chairman of Advisors to Governor of Bangkok, Mr. Sanon Wangsrangboon, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, Gen. Nipat Thonglek, Adviser to Governor of Bangkok, and Mr. Pimuk Simaroj, Secretary to Governor of Bangkok, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Han Zhiqiang, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Thailand, at the Ambassador’s residence located at Ratchadapisek Road, Din Daeng District, Bangkok. Both sides discussed matters as follows; promotion of cooperation with the Chinese community for driving the BMA’s missions, carrying out cooperation and learning best practices from Bangkok’s sister cities, such as Beijing’s PM2.5 management, meeting with Chinese businessmen to discuss ways of facilitation which the BMA can provide, application of the Chinese technology, like those from Huawei, to the BMA’s duties, promotion of Chinese trade and investment in the area of Bangkok Metropolis, people-to-people visit, cultural exchange, development of infrastructure and rail system transportation, travel by high-speed train for promoting international tourism and logistics. After that, they mutually had dinner and considered concrete cooperation between the BMA and the Embassy in the future.
