On 4th October 2022 at 15.00 hrs., Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, was honored and invited by Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Thailand, to be a keynote speaker in a panel discussion under the topic of “Urban Life and the Current Obesity Situation - How the Working Age Population of Bangkok Overcomes Obesity” in the “Press Event: Urbanization and Obesity” hosted by the Royal Danish Embassy in cooperation with Novo Nordisk Pharma (Thailand) Ltd. The panel discussion was also participated by doctors specializing in obesity from Diabetes Association of Thailand, Association of Thai NCD Alliance, and Ministry of Public Health. The Governor of Bangkok has suggested guidelines for promoting health and exercise to stay away from obesity and talked about related work implementation of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. For example, extension of opening and closing time of three BMA public parks and Bangkok Sport Centers, idea of walkability city, improvement of quality pavements, covered walkways, improvement of cycling, walking and running trails, and medical care for obesity and other related diseases. All these aims to promote and support people to exercise and have good health.
