On 6th January 2023, at 11.00 hrs., Mr. Satoshi Oda, Director of Higashikawa Town Office (Thailand) paid a courtesy call on Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok together with Mr. Sanon Wangsrangboon, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, Mr. Pimuk Simaroj, Secretary to Governor of Bangkok, and Representatives from Department of Education, with the purpose of discussing the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and Town of Higashikawa on education, cultural exchange and occupational development in order to benefit the development of relations between cities. In addition, there was also a discussion about supporting short-term and long-term Japanese language learning programs for students under the BMA and the general public to support education for youth in the future.
