The Governor of Bangkok and Ambassador of Kazakhstan participated in “Plant the Tree for the Future” event dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the establishing of Diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Thailand on 11 January 2023 at 8.30 - 10.00 a.m. at Benjakitti Park, Khlong Toei District.
The Embassy of Kazakhstan donated 30 sea grape and custard apple trees in total to create green area for the city under the environmental policy “Planting a million trees, creating a green wall to filter dust across the city.” The honor guests participated in this event were such as Mr. Worawut Pongprapapan, Director-General of Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prof. Kanjanarat Leewiroj, Senator, Mr. Kriengkrai Kanjanapokin, Founder and CEO, Index Creative Village Public Co., Ltd., etc.
The Kazakh Ambassador mentioned that he would like to thank you to all of the honored guests and supporters of the event. Kazakhstan and Thailand have been having long relation and cooperation for mutual benefits. Both countries supported the “Global Security” initiative by the UN Charter. Thailand is a popular destination that many Kazakh tourists are interested in visiting for travelling. There are currently two routes from Kazakhstan to Thailand: Almaty-Bangkok and Almaty-Phuket. Hopefully, we will carry out projects and activities to promote the sustainably stable relationship between Bangkok and Astana.
The Governor of Bangkok mentioned that it was his honor to be in the event. He would like to thank you for the Republic of Kazakhstan for having this important event of the 30-year cooperation establishment between Thailand and Kazakhstan. Astana and Bangkok established relations since 2004. Hopefully, we will have more cooperation in the near future. Planting trees is a good symbolic thing to create a better city. We would like to welcome more tourists of Kazakhstan and Bangkok to travel for exchanges continuously.
