Bangkok Pride 2023 hosted by Naruemit Pride and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration From Siam Center to Central World
On June 4th, 2023, the Governor of Bangkok, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tavida Kamolvej and Sanon Wangsrangboon, the Deputy Governor of Bangkok, attended the Bangkok Pride parade hosted by the Naruemit Pride and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. Besides, Executives from Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, as well as the Ambassadors and representatives from the Embassies in Bangkok, such as the Embassy of the United state, the Embassy of Australia, the Embassy of Sweden, The British Embassy and the Embassy of the Netherlands, participated in the parade in order to support diversity and equality of LGBTQ+. The parade started from Siam Center to Central World, consisting of six caravans with six different colors and themes. The first caravan is Purple caravan which was for community concept under the name “Gender X”. The blue was focused on purpose concept under the name “My Body My Choice”. The Green was named as Chosen Family which gave priority to relationships concept. The Yellow valued the environment and was named as Peace and Earth. The last two caravans were the Orange which emphasized the “Equal Rights to Health”, and the red, I Am Home caravan, which was under the security concept. After all the caravans arrived at Central World, the Governor of Bangkok had an opportunity to deliver the opening remark, along with the Naruemit Pride, and other notables at the event.
