Governor of Bangkok delivers a speech and shares his visons
at the 7th High Level Dialogue on ASEAN-Italy Economic Dialogue Relations.
On 4th October 2023 at 14.00 hrs., Governor of Bangkok delivered a speech and shared his visons with Mr. Attilio Fontana, President of Lombardy, Italy on urban development at 7th High Level Dialogue on ASEAN-Italy Economic Dialogue Relations hosted by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and The European House Ambrosetti (Think Tank) at Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok hotel. In this respect, Mr. Valentino Valentini, Deputy Minister for Enterprises and Made in Italy, delivered the opening speech for the event as a high-ranking representative of the Italian government. This event brought together more than 300 representatives from business sector, public sector, mass media and academic sector.
In this regard, Governor of Bangkok delivered his speech in the “Competences for Development: Building Resilience and Inclusive Growth in ASEAN through Digitalization, Innovation and Creativity” session. He mentioned 155 years of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Italy in the speech and referred to the importance of using technology to enhance sustainable quality of life. In addition, he also emphasized the issues and opportunities that Bangkok can collaborate with Lombardy in the future, e.g., tourism and sport tourism, effective waste management, food and food bank, mobility, urban economy, fashion, and green spaces. After his speech, the Governor attended the session as an audience listening to collaboration opportunities between ASEAN and Italy on economy, technology for development and value added, and sustainability.
