The Ambassador of Hungary to Thailand paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Bangkok to hand over the medal on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
On May 13, 2024, at 13.00 hrs., H.E. Dr. Sándor Sipos, the Ambassador of Hungary to Thailand, and Mr. Rober Kerti, Second Secretary and Consul of the Embassy of Hungary to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok at Amornpiman Room, Bangkok City Hall, Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok.
In this courtesy, the Ambassador handed over the commemorative golden plated red copper medal to the Governor of Bangkok on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and Hungary. The medal weighs 415 grams and measures 100 mm in diameter. It was designed by a famous Hungarian craftsman Mr. Gábor Kereszthury and issued by the Hungarian Central Bank.
On this occasion, the Ambassador conveyed gratitude to the BMA for the past cooperation, mentioned the longstanding and amicable relations between Thailand and Hungary from the past to the present, and the role of the Embassy in facilitating the private sector in doing business. The Ambassador also proposed organizing a “Music in the Park” event with the BMA to strengthen the relationship between Bangkok and Budapest as sister cities and expressed a desire for further economic collaboration. In this regard, the Secretary for the Governor of Bangkok, Director of International Affairs Office, and the BMA officials from International Affairs Office also joined in welcoming the diplomatic corps.
