On 26th April 2024 at 10.00 hrs., the delegation from Khanh Hoa Province, the Socialist
Republic of Viet Nam, led by Mr. Ha Quoc Tri, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and representatives from the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok. In this regard, Mr. Somboon Homnan, Deputy Permanent Secretary for BMA, Mr. Sing Limpirat, Deputy Director-General of Culture, Sports and Tourism Department, Miss Yaowaluck Pimpanit, Director of Culture and Tourism Office, Mrs. Jiraporn Pungprawat, Director of City Relations Promotion Division, International Affairs Office, and officers from International Affairs Office and related agencies, jointly welcomed at Amornphimarn Room, Bangkok City Hall.
Mr. Ha Quoc Tri revealed that the purpose of his visit to Bangkok was to promote tourism, trade, and people-to-people exchanges. During his stay in Bangkok, Khanh Hoa Province was scheduled to organize the “Forum of the Tourism Cooperation Promotion between Khanh Hoa and Thailand” on 26th April 2024 at 15.00 hrs. at Prince Palace Hotel, Pom Prab Sattru Phai District, Bangkok. This Forum aims to introduce and promote the new image of tourism and related policies of Nha Trang, one of Khanh Hoa Province’s main cities to Thai agencies and entrepreneurs to create understanding and promote cooperation between both sides. Khanh Hoa Province has several strengths namely abundant nature, convenient transportation, various products, and so on. In addition, the province has also gained strong support from the Vietnamese Government, which played an important role in continuous development of its infrastructure, economy, and tourism.
The Governor of Bangkok appreciated the idea of Khanh Hoa Province’s tourism promotion in international markets by building up strengths and facilities that attract more global visitors. As tourism plays an important role in promoting the economy which impact a large number of people, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is ready to support Khanh Hoa Province by publicizing its tourism information among the public. Both sides can also discuss in detail for considering other fields of cooperation like visits, cultural events, possibility for the establishment of sister city relations etc. as well as forming a working team to discuss and drive cooperation for concrete results in the future.
