Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt paid a courtesy call on Governor of Bangkok
On 18th July 2024 at 09.00 hrs., H.E. Mrs. Hala Youssef Ahmed Ragab, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt paid a courtesy call on Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, on the occasion of the assumption of duty in Thailand and discussion of cooperation between the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA). In this regard, Miss Pannarai Chingchitr, Director of the International Affairs Office, and officers, jointly welcomed the Ambassador at Amornphimarn Room, Bangkok City Hall.
The Ambassador appreciated Thailand’s establishment of diplomatic relations with the Arab Republic of Egypt for 70 years. The activities of the two countries that have continuously been implemented together not only promote cooperation based on mutual interest and understanding in economics, culture, education, and tourism but also support each other in the political arena and high-level organizations such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), realizing Bangkok’s capacity as a metropolis with rapid development has been suitable for conducting business, importing, and exporting. In addition, Thailand has been one of the top destinations for Egyptian tourists, especially for young honeymooners, considering hotel services available for travelers at any budget level and impressive hospitality for visitors.
The Governor of Bangkok was delighted to work in cooperation with the Arab Republic of Egypt to exchange knowledge and development together by considering their similarities and mutual interest in such fields as relocation to a new capital, traffic management, waste management, and so on. In addition, the BMA is ready to assist Egyptians who reside or invest in Bangkok and facilitate the Embassy according to the authority and responsibility of the BMA, as the symbol of a good relationship.
