The Youth Representatives of Bangkok participated in the International Youth Exchange Program 2024, held from August 5 to 12, 2024, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The program aims to foster good relations between Bangkok and Ulaanbaatar and facilitate cultural exchanges among youth from various cities worldwide. This international youth exchange program has been a continuous success since it was first established in 2018, following the establishment of sister city relations between Bangkok and Ulaanbaatar in 2017.

This year, Bangkok sent a delegation comprising 3 Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) officials and 10 youths to participate in a range of meaningful activities. They visited important historical sites such as Sukhbaatar Square and the Chinggis Khan Monument to learn about Mongolia's culture. Furthermore, the delegation explored the natural conservation areas at Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, visiting landmarks such as the Turtle Rock and Aryapala Temple. The youth also engaged in Mongolia's unique horseback riding activities, offering them a closer experience of Mongolia's nature and culture.

The program included activities focused on learning about Mongolian culture and history, such as visiting various museums, preparing traditional Mongolian cuisine, and planting trees to promote environmental conservation. Additionally, creative activities for the youth, such as painting, Mongolian calligraphy, and art-making, were held at the Children's and Youth Art Center. The delegation also enjoyed performances of traditional Mongolian art by the Ulaanbaatar music ensemble.

This program provides an excellent opportunity for Bangkok’s youth representatives to learn about international cultures, fostering mutual understanding and connections among youth from different countries. It serves as a solid foundation for developing future relations and cooperation between cities worldwide.
