Through the Thailand UK PACT Country Fund, the UK aims to support Thailand’s climate ambitions and contribute to building a sustainable and resilient future. The UK PACT Country Fund is the UK’s largest bilateral programme in Thailand, worth more than £6m over two years.

UK PACT is a £340m capacity-building programme, funded by the UK’s International Climate Finance (ICF). UK PACT supports ODA-eligible countries with high mitigation potential to increase their climate ambition and implement that ambition more rapidly, more effectively, and more equitably. It is a demand-driven programme, responding to partner countries' needs and sector priorities.

Thailand UK PACT programme will focus on supporting green growth through investments in sustainable transport, green finance mechanisms, and carbon pricing. These initiatives will accelerate Thailand's transition to a low-carbon economy by building capacity within relevant sectors.

This programme is a key part of the UK’s offer under the UK–Thailand Strategic Partnership Roadmap (signed March 2024). It demonstrates the UK's commitment to supporting Thailand's climate goals and fostering sustainable development.
