Governor of Bangkok jointly welcomed Ambassador of the Republic of Finland
On 25th February 2025 at 09.00 hrs., Governor of Bangkok together with Deputy Governors of Bangkok (Mr. Wisanu Subsompon and Mr. Sanon Wangsrangboon), Advisor to the Governor of Bangkok and Chief Sustainability Officer of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (Mr. Pornprom Vikitsreth), Director-General of Sewage and Drainage Department, Director-General of Education Department, and Deputy Director-General of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Digital Department jointly welcomed H.E. Mrs. Kristiina Kuvaja-Xanthopoulos and her delegation, totaling 6 persons, paid a courtesy call and discussed the collaboration between the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the Embassy of the Republic of Finland in Thailand.
In this regard, both parties discussed collaboration in many fields such as infrastructures, water management, wastewater treatment, waste to energy, education -- from preschool level to vocational education level emphasizing the promotion of digital and artificial intelligence (AI) skill knowledge--, including the application of digital technology in public services. Moreover, the Finnish embassy invited the BMA to visit schools that use the curriculum of the Republic of Finland for their schooling and was interested in the Chao Phraya River Pedestrian Bridge Project that the BMA is implementing. The BMA is also interested in learning about organizational transparency and improving air quality due to PM2.5 dust from the Republic of Finland.
