Cuban Ambassador Paid a Courtesy Call to Bangkok Governor to Discuss Thai-Cuban Cooperation

 

On 14th March 2025, at 10.30 hrs., at the Amornphiman Room, City Hall, H.E. Mr. Pedro Pablo San Jorge Rodriguez, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Bangkok to introduce himself and discuss potential areas of cooperation between Bangkok and the Republic of Cuba. He has served as the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Thailand since 2023 and  officially assumed office on 29th June 2023, following the presentation of his letter of credence to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua of the Kingdom of Thailand at the Ambara Villa, Dusit Palace. On this occasion,the Governor of Bangkok presented the Ambassador with a symbolic key to the city and a book titled “Deep Impress – Watercolor Study with the Scenery of Bangkok” as tokens of appreciation. In conclusion, this meeting represented a significant step towards enhancing bilateral relations and promoting cooperation between Bangkok and the Republic of Cuba in various fields, particularly in healthcare, education, and tourism, where Cuba possesses recognized expertise and holds considerable potential for future collaboration with Bangkok.
