Delegation from Guizhou Province, People's Republic of China, met the Governor of Bangkok to foster relations and create a cooperation in tourism, culture, sports and education.
On 16th May 2025 at 11.00 hrs., Mr. Lu Yongzheng, Director of the Publicity Department of the CPPCC Guizhou Province, People's Republic of China, and his delegation paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Bangkok to introduce Guizhou Province in terms of tourism, economy, and geographic connectivity, as well as to promote friendly visits and discuss cooperation in tourism between the two cities at the Amornphiman Room, Bangkok City Hall (Sao Chingcha). On this occasion, the Deputy Governor of Bangkok (Mr. Sanon Wangsrangboon), Secretary to the Governor of Bangkok, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism (Ms. Rujira Arin), Director of the Public Relations Office, and the BMA officials from the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the International Affairs Office jointly welcomed.
Both sides discussed cooperation in tourism, culture, sports and education, such as training tourism personnel to expand the tourist base and promote tourism in both cities, encouraging influencers to film media to promote tourism in both cities by using social media for public relations, organizing cultural performances, organizing exhibitions to introduce cities, and connecting international transportation, etc. In addition, the BMA is interested in learning about the development of Big Data and Data Center in Guizhou Province to develop the BMA's information system to be more efficient, including the development of Guizhou's economy in terms of reviving the province's economy to be at the top of the country. Guizhou Province is interested in bringing tourism personnel to study tourism in Bangkok as Bangkok is a world-class tourism metropolis. In order to further strengthen the relationship between the two cities, both sides intend to have exchanges of cooperation or visits in the future.
