BMA Receives Book Donation under “Ukrainian Bookshelf” Project from the Embassy of Ukraine

On 4th June 2025, from 10.00 hrs. to 11.30 hrs., Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, participated in the official handover ceremony of the “Ukrainian Bookshelf” project by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Thailand at the Bangkok City Library on Ratchadamnoen Klang Road.

During the ceremony, Mr. Viktor Semenov, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Ukraine, delivered a welcoming address and presented a donation of 70 books to the Bangkok City Library. The collection comprises a range of literary, non-fiction works in Ukrainian, English, and Thai, featuring Ukraine’s history, language, and cultural identity. The initiative aims to promote learning and deepen understanding of Ukraine within Thai society.

The “Ukrainian Bookshelf” is part of a global initiative supported by Mrs. Olena Zelenska, First Lady of Ukraine, to promote awareness of Ukrainian literature, language, and heritage through translated works by Ukrainian authors. Following the handover, the Governor of Bangkok and the Chargé d'Affaires visited the space where the Ukrainian books are on displayed and exchanged views on potential future collaboration in the field of cultural exchange.
