Representatives and youth from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Bangkok
(on Monday, June 23, 2025 (B.E. 2568) Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, the Governor of Bangkok, along with Mr. Sanon Wangsrangboon, Deputy Governor of Bangkok; Mr. Pimuk Simaroj, Secretary to Governor of Bangkok; Mrs. Jiraporn Pungprawat, Director of the City Relations Promotion Division; and the BMA officials welcomed 13 Ulaanbaatar delegates led by Mr. Vanchig Battulga, Senior Specialist, Department of Legal Affairs, Governor’s Office of the Capital city; Ms. Bat-Ochir Dugermaa, Senior Specialist, Foreign Relations Department, Governor’s Office of the Capital City; and Ms. Damba Gerelmaa, Staff, Public Administration Department, Governor’s Office of the Capital City, accompanied by 10 Ulaanbaatar youth.
During the courtesy visit, the Governor of Bangkok welcomed the Ulaanbaatar representatives on their second visit to Bangkok. He expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm reception granted to Bangkok students during their previous visit to Ulaanbaatar and conveyed his hope that this visit would be both beneficial and full of new learning experiences for Ulaanbaatar youth.
Mr. Vanchig Battulga expressed his appreciation for Bangkok's excellent hospitality. He noted that through this visit, the Ulaanbaatar's youth representatives from Ulaanbaatar would have the opportunity to learn about Bangkok’s history, culture, and other aspects through various activities. He also conveyed his hope that the relationship between the two cities will continue to grow stronger and more robust in the future.
The youth representatives from Ulaanbaatar expressed their gratitude for the support given in organizing this program. Despite warm weather, they were delighted to have the opportunity to visit Bangkok for an educational tour and to learn about the culture.
The Governor of Bangkok presented souvenirs to the delegation, including a woven basket, a mud-dyed traditional shawl, a traditional cloth , and commemorative magnets.
Bangkok and Ulaanbaatar have been sister cities since 2017 (B.E. 2560) and have continuously conducted exchange activities at both the executive and youth levels.
