Governor of Bangkok Jointly Opens “Nippon Haku Bangkok 2025” on Its 10th Anniversary
On 29 August 2025 at 10:00 hrs., at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center,Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, jointly presided over and gave a welcome speech at the opening ceremony of the Nippon Haku Bangkok 2025 Japanese cultural expo. This event marks its 10th anniversary and will be held from 29 to 31 August 2025. Many distinguished guests who joined the opening ceremony and delivered speeches, including H.E. Mr. Masato Otaka, Ambassador of Japan to Thailand; Mr. Glint Sarasinth, President of the Thai - Japanese Association; Mr. Takashi Yamada, Director of the Kumamon Group, Kumamoto Prefecture; and Mr. Takuo Hasegawa, President of the Organizing Committee of Nippon Haku Bangkok, as well as artists from both Thailand and Japan.
The Governor of Bangkok stated that Nippon Haku event reflects the long-standing relationship between Thailand and Japan through cultural, educational, tourism, and business activities over the past decade. He added that the event also demonstrates “soft power”, inspiring and strengthening bonds between the people of both countries. The Governor of Bangkok himself has attended the opening ceremony of Nippon Haku for 3 consecutive years at Siam Paragon. This year, the event takes place for the first time at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, making it more grand and comprehensive than ever.
In this regard, the Governor of Bangkok offered his best wishes for the continued success of such meaningful and impressive events in the years to come, serving as a platform to further strengthen the friendship between Thailand and Japan.
