Today (October 6, 2025) Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, welcomed Mr. Masato Otaka, Ambassador of Japan to Thailand, along with Mr. Takehiro Kagawa, Secretary-General of Mayors for Peace, and Mr. Tsutomu Kono, Executive Advisor to the Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation, during their visit to Bangkok. 

They discussed the possibility of joint peace promotion activities between Bangkok and Hiroshima, Japan, such as holding peace photo exhibitions, Music in the Park events, and youth exchange programs. On this occasion, the Bangkok Governor led the delegation on a friendly tour of Santiphap Park (Peace Park) and posed for photos by the pond, which features the Peace Sculpture that has been with the park since its opening and serves as a symbol commemorating the end of World War II. 

Santiphap Park is an inner-city public park in the Ratchathewi District, near the Victory Monument. It is maintained by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and offers a shady, relaxing atmosphere. It is open daily from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM (free admission.)
