(17 November 2025) Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, together with Mr. Aekvarunyoo Amrapala, Assistant Secretary to Governor of Bangkok and BMA Spokesman, and Mr. Kunanop Lertpraiwan, Assistant Secretary to Governor of Bangkok, welcomed Mr. Lee Hak-Yeong, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Maeng Seong-gyu, Chairperson of the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee, National Assembly of the Republic of Korea and his delegation, during their visit to Bangkok and their courtesy call at Amarin Room, Bangkok City Hall, Giant Swing. The meeting aims to exchange views and strengthen cooperations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Republic of Korea.

Both sides discussed various issues of mutual interest of cooperation between Bangkok and the Republic of Korea, including smart city management, traffic management, climate management, and cultural promotion. The BMA is ready to facilitate and support entrepreneurs and investors interested in investing in Bangkok. The Korean delegation also invited BMA representatives to visit Hanoi, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam , and Seoul, the Republic of Korea, to observe smart-city technologies developed by Korean companies.
