During 17-20 January 2019, Pol.Lt.Gen Sopon Pisuttiwong, Advisor to Governor of Bangkok led a BMA delegation to attend The Launch Conference of the DeepBlue Panda AI Bus. The objective was to share and exchange knowledge about the development of technology and city management in the future, especially in this era of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. Pol.Lt.Gen Sopon had delivered a speech at the meeting which is a good opportunity for Bangkok to exchange and share experiences on applying AI technology in various sectors, including the development of public transportation systems of Bangkok to develop and upgrade facilities, infrastructure and public transportation for increase people and tourists convenience, and also improve the image of the city as well. In this regard, the autonomous driving bus – a large scale AI robotic system and specific operating systems, biological and face recognition technology, voice interaction, abnormal behavior detection, security prevention system of stealing and more service function was launched. This event was live steamed through the China Central Television and transmitted by YouTube and Facebook over the world.
