CityNet Congress, the quadrennial conference of CityNet organization, was held for reporting of activities, budgetary management, working plans which was done in the past 4 years and will perform in the future, so do the executive election. This time, the 2017 CityNet Congress is on theme of "Our City, Our Future: Sharing Local Solutions for Sustainable Development". Representatives from Bangkok Metropolitan Administration participated the meeting on 4 - 9 November 2017.
The highlight of the conference were, first, the 35th Executive Committee Meeting, which was held for reporting of 2017 CityNet activities, budgetary checking, new member announcement, president emeritus assignment, etc., and second, General Council, which was held for reviewing the past activities in 2014 - 2017, result of activities performance from National Chapter members and chosen members, organization budgetary reviewing, and executive election in term of 2018 - 2021.
Additionally, there were related meeting activities such as Concurrent Sessions: the free-choice meeting which all participants would be able to join indulgently, and Cluster Meeting which divided into 4 sections: Climate Change, Infrastructure, Disaster, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
