The 4th ASEM Meeting for Governors and Mayors
during 24 – 27 May 2017 in Lisbon, Portugal
Dr. Vallop Suwandee, Chairman of Advisers to Governor of Bangkok, led the BMA delegation to participate in the 4th ASEM Meeting Governors and Mayors (ASEM MGM 4) hosted by the city of Lisbon during 24-27 May 2017 in Lisbon, Portugal. The conference was convened under the theme “Mobility, Sustainability and Migration”. It aimed to collaboratively work on policies and strategies for dealing with challenges towards sustainable development and to enhance cooperation between governors and mayors of ASEM cities in Europe and Asia. Dr. Vallop Suwandee, as the representative of the Governor of Bangkok, delivered a speech during the opening ceremony on behalf of the 4th ASEM MGM participants and provided a presentation concerning the Bangkok experience on “Mobility and Environmental Sustainability”. The conference was concluded by the Declaration of the 4th ASEM MGM stressing on 3 main topics: Mobility and Environmental Sustainability, Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Inclusion and Interculturalism. The participants reiterated that multi-level cooperation is the important in order to exchange knowledge and experiences
