The Courtesy Call on Mayor of Dalian
and the Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding
on the Establishment of Friendly Relations between Bangkok and Dalian
M.R. Sukhumbhand Paribatra, Governor of Bangkok, together with executives and representatives of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) visited Dalian during 18-20 July 2016 in the occasion of signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the Establishment of Friendly Relations between the City of Dalian and the BMA.
In this opportunity, Governor of Bangkok and the BMA delegation paid courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Xiao Shengfeng, Mayor of Dalian at the No. 5 Building Bangchuidao State Hotel, the official venue for guests of Dalian City. Afterwards, the Governor and the Mayor signed the MoU which is aiming to strengthen further cooperation between Bangkok and Dalian City in various fields such as;
Tourism: Citizens of Bangkok and Dalian will have more chance to travel one another whether by chartered flights and travel company promotion.
Economy: It will be a channel for Thai investors in Dalian and vice versa.
Personnel and youth exchange: Personnel, both officials and business people, and students from Bangkok and Dalian will be smoothly exchange knowledge and experience.
Education: As Bangkok herself operates schools and university, and there are many academic institutions in Dalian, all levels of education exchange will be strongly . . ' possible.
City of Dalian, Liaoning Province, People’s Republic of China, is located at the tip of the Liaoning Peninsula. It is called a resort city of the north-eastern part of China. It also is the economic hub of trade and tourism of Liaoning Province and the largest port in the northeast China.
