BMA Joins 2015 Seoul Friendship Fair
The BMA participated in the 2015 Seoul Friendship Fair which is held during 2 - 3 May 2015 in Seoul, the Republic of Korea. The Director of International Affairs Division led the performers from Culture, Sports and Tourism Department to join the Global Parade together with 14 Seoul's Sister Cities around the world, including Beijing, Cairo, Hanoi, Hokkaido, Maputo, Minsk, Moscow, Shanghai, Taipei, Tashkent, Tehran, Tokyo, Ulaanbaatar and Seoul as the host city.
In addition, the BMA showcased "Spirit of Rice" performance. Inspired by the ritual of Spiritualizing the Rice, the show reflected the gratitude toward the Rice Goddess and appreciated the importance of our motherland, which gives us our lives.
Bangkok and Seoul initiated Sister City Relations on 16 June 2006. The Agreement was signed by H.E. Mr. Apirak Kosayodhin, Governor of Bangkok, and H.E. Mr. Won Sei Hoon, Vice Mayor of Seoul. The two cities have enjoyed their great relations since then.
