Mr. Lu Sheng, Director-General of the Chengdu Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, paid a courtesy call on Mrs. Pusadee Tamthai, Deputy Governor of Bangkok at 13.00 hours, 12 February 2015. Both sides agreed to initiate friendly relations between the two cities in the near future. On this occasion, the Deputy Governor invited Chengdu Municipality to the 40th anniversary of Thai-Chinese diplomatic relations event which will be hosted by the BMA in mid 2015. Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan Province. As the third populous city of China with 10 million populations, Chengdu has easily become a key economic center of Western China.
