BMA hosted the 10th Conference on Countermeasures to Combat Infectious Diseases in Asia during 3 – 5 February 2015. Organized by Medical Service Department, Health Department and International Affairs Division, the Conference was joined by 12 of the Asian Network of Major Cities 21 (ANMC21) member cities, including Delhi, Hanoi, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Seoul, Singapore, Taipei, Tokyo, Tomsk, Yangon and Bangkok.
Bangkok has been the member of ANMC21 since 2001. This year, the participating cities agreed that infectious diseases has been an ongoing threat to humanity. In order to ease the effect of emerging infectious diseases, every city has to join together as a network. Readiness, caution, and effective treatment will also help fighting the diseases.
