BMA Signed Sister City Agreement with Aichi Province

Governor of Bangkok welcomed Governor of Aichi Province and his delegation on their official visit at Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (“BMA”) to sign the agreement on the cooperation between Aichi and Bangkok.

 

Aichi, a prosperous province taking high priority over Japan’s economy, has had a long-term relationship with Bangkok for more than 20 years through the cooperation with Aichi Association joined by over 120 Aichi’s companies and organizations having branches in Thailand.  The Association has supported BMA’s educational policy by granting Aichi scholarship in the total amount of Bt 900,000 to students of BMA schools.  For this year, more cooperation is made with the exchange of the youth of Bangkok and Aichi Province through Aichi International Association.  In this regard, 15 students, together with 5 staff, visited Aichi Province for activity sharing in April.

With the aforesaid close relationship, after BMA had received the letter from Governor of Aichi Province to promote an official relation between Aichi Province and Bangkok, BMA was very pleased and did not hesitate to accept such friendship.  And accordingly, this cooperation agreement signing is an important step to establish strong relationship and cooperation framework between Aichi Province and Bangkok for the development in various aspects and be a guarantee of the cooperation between the management of both cities for maximum benefit to their people.  In addition, this city cooperation is a key part to promote and support good relationship between nations.
