International Affairs Division , Office of the Permanent Secretary for the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, together with Public Disaster Prevention and Relief are honoured by the Asian Network of Major Cities 21 (“ANMC 21”) to be the host convening the 10th Asian Crisis Management Conference from 12 to 15 June 2012 at Siam City Hotel, Ratchathewi District.
- Participants consisted of representatives from 12 member cities of the ANMC 21, namely New Delhi, Hanoi, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Metropolitan Manila,
Seoul, Taipei, Tokyo, Yangon, Singapore, Ulan Bator, and Bangkok.
- The conference’s objectives:
1. To be a stage for promoting and sharing knowledge on efficient disaster management in various situations;
2. To provide an opportunity for participants and BMA’s officers in learning and practicing drills along with sharing beneficial experiences on disaster management;
3. To enhance the effectiveness of the joint project on Network for Crisis Management;
4. To strengthen the relationship between Bangkok and member cities of ANMC 21.

The conference topic was comprised of a theme and sub-themes as follows:
- The theme was: the experience of crisis Management in major cities;
- The sub-themes included:
a) Experience, Know-how, Skills and Measures against Calamities such as Earthquake, Flood and Tsunami;
b) Characteristics of Disasters which have struck the Member-Cities and the Systems and the Measures for the Crisis Management;
c) Mechanism for collecting, sharing and disseminating information
